Interstate illness

(Also: highway herpes)

An ailment suffered by those who have spent many hours (or days) in a row traveling the interstate or comparable highway system. Symptoms include persistent headache, grogginess, joint aches and a general fuzziness of the mind.

The two of them were reluctant to talk; interstate illness had properly set in some hours ago and it made conversation hard to focus on.

What "Mental Illness" specifically? What mental illness is it PRECISELY?

Hym "If school shootings are the result of 'mental illness' (Megyn), then which mental illness is it? This time it's an 'emotional disorder', last time they were schizophrenic. What's the diagnosis? That doesn't SOUND like a through-line to me! Does it sound like a through-line to you? The only through-line I see is the constant demonization. It's every single one too! Find a SINGLE ONE who wasn't constantly demonization by one side of the media or the people who BLINDLY ACCEPTED THE MEDIA'S PROPOSITIONS WITHOUT THINKING (JORDAN). No, you know what I think? I think I was RIGHT AGAIN! I think mental illness has become this sort of conflationary euphemism for 'Anyone who would kill kids'. You can dismiss and ignore anyone that way. And you know, most people would go straight to the bombings of other countries that results in the death of kids. Jist because it's remote doesn't mean it's 'less real' somehow. Are the people flying the drones mentally ill or is it the people who order the strike? Is the DRONE mentally ill? Do any of those people still get to have guns? I though you were a lawyer?"
