Drift Away

A scene from "Steven Universe: The Movie." Where the villain, Spinel, has a backstory. Her creator Pink Diamond abondons her for Earth, and 6000 years later, Pink's son, Steven, broadcasts on the diamond line, which goes live everywhere, including the place where pink abandoned her. When Spinel sees the message, she gets so upset that she trys to kill herself.

But gems do not die, and Spinel poofs. When she reforms, she changes from a cartoon looking character to a villain in a movie. Spinel just needed help...

Drifter

A drifter is a homeless person often found in big coastal cities. They usually roam to different areas every once in a while, but never stay permanently. 2 big things different about a hobo and a drifter is hobos tend to rely on help while drifters are always self-reliant. Another thing is a hobo never moves to town to town like a drifter. If you do see a hobo wandering to different areas, that's a homeless person, not a hobo

Internet drift

When you start searching the internet for one thing and end up looking at a series of unrelated things, usually culminating in browsing memes or that "one weird trick" you didn't know you needed to complete your life.

Amy: "Browsing the internet."
Me: "You've been on the computer for three hours! I think somebody is experiencing some Internet drift! I'm just sayin."
