A portmanteau between contemplating and pondering, contonder essentially means to rationalize rationalizing and come up with an excuse to have an excuse.

Kev is such a millennial. He acts so self-important but lacks initiative to gain what he feels he is owed. Look at him. Right now he acts like he's above going to a party he claims is full of lames but he's contondering a reason to go.

Dude is literally trying to psyche himself up to even considering it.

Kev says it is his duty as a higher standard to society to entertain the thought of attempting to elevate his peers to his level by his mere presence alone. So, he deciding to go to do just that.

lost consonant

Mistakenly omitting a consonant from a word, resulting in a sentance or phrase taking on a different meaning altogether. I first saw it used in a book by Graham Rawle, but I think it's a generic term.
