Blue Line

A black rectangle with a solid, thick blue line through the middle. Symbol that is put on items ranging from front license plates, pins, bumper stickers (very small sticker),etc that denotes the user is a police officer. It is a violation of many state's laws to display this symbol if the user is not employed by a police agency. Related to this is the Red Line, which is used to identify fire/medical services personnel. These symbols are usually found on the off-duty vehicles or other personal effects of police /emergency services personnel.

My next-door neighbor, who is a highway patrolman, has a Blue Line tag on the front of his car, as well as a Blue Line sticker.

slack line

1. noun. A long piece of webbing, hanging loosely between two solid objects but not touching the ground. Used to walk upon while attempting to maintain balance for entertainment, usually drunk, usually by climbers. Advanced slackliners are able to: reverse direction, stay on indefinitely, jump, juggle, swing to and fro.

2. verb. To play on the slack line.

Those hosers think they're setting up a slack line, but it's more like a tightrope.

Dude, you gotta have at least another beer before you stop falling off the slack line.

blurred lines

when one person makes sexual advances on another person (at times they are drunk), and the other person (trying to be kind about it) tries to back away from the others' advance. the blurred line is in the mind of the aggressor.

Troy was really pressuring me into having sex, but he didn't get the fact that I wasn't interested and crossed the line. To him they were blurred lines.
