To achieve career ambition, one often has to climb the corporate ladder, or the'ladder of dicks', wanking off every rung as you climb, tasting the pearls of success.
The phrase derives from the french 'La L'addere au phallu' and was widely referenced in french aristocratic circles during the period of the french revolution (1789-1799) when it was necessary to protect ones family by wanking off the guillotinere while climbing the scaffold to avoid certain excution.
