a school full of stuck up assholes and gays that care more about their uggs and maxi skirts than their grades. the guys are generally queer in their wardrobe choices. for example: vineyard vines, and the guys even unfortunately wear designer brands like gucci, louis vuitton, and burberry. the girls make sure that the others know that they are better than them. if you don't have an iphone and BMW, you don't belong at berkeley.

Get the Berkeley Prep mug.A high school located in Astoria, Queens. This school is affiliated with St. John's University and the students are all from different parts of the city. Many ethnic groups go to the school: Greeks, Italians, Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Poles, and Asians. The school's academic system consists of four different levels. The level you get put in is determined by your 8th grade average and a special placement test. Each level has a diffferent difficulty. Level 1-Remedial, Level 2-Average, Level 3-Regents, and Level 4-Honors.
Most of the students are in level 2. However, the next highest people are in level 1. Usually, there's only 1 or 2 Honors and Regents classes per year. Most of the teachers at the school are pretty good instructors. Some of them have even been there for 20 years or more.
Despite the fact that the school is very good for high academic achievers, there's the social problems of the school. Sadly, many of the students are rap-loving imbeciles who will make fun of you if you're intelligent or if they consider you a nerd. Infact, some of them pick on other students for no real reason at all. Many of the sensible students are in Honors and Regents. Not too many are in the levels below.
There is also the problem of fights. This year, there were over 4 fights in the Freshman year alone. There have also been two freshmen expelled.
Despite all this, the school is still pretty good.

Get the Devon Prep mug.A person, who usually is an angsty, depressed goth/punk, who think s/he's cool because s/he wear shirts that say "You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same" and other assorted wear from Hot Topic or Torrid even though that makes them a hypocrite as those shops are just as brand-name as Abercrombie, GAP, or Old Navy. The people behind Hot Topic and Torrid are exactly like the people behind GAP and Old Navy: they laugh all the way to the bank as you unthinking, impressionable teens buy their over-priced clothing, and you become a walking billboard for Corporate America when you don their shoddy clothes, just like the "prep" clique you hate so much.
I think I'm sooo unique because I'm wearing a shirt from a company that tells me who I am. I am a sell-out.

Get the Prep mug.hmmmmm prep is usually the term deemed to nicely dressed people...usually teens who go to a "prep" school.....most of them come from wealthy families and no abercrombie and american eagle isnt hte cothing of preps its lacoste and designer clothes such as dio burberry armani lacoste polo and gucci..most drive fancy cars and they ALWAYS have popped collars..they tend to bag the hotter girls and oh yea cannto forget...to be considered a prep you must own and love to wear SEERSUCKER shorts and pants....and have to sport the plaid shorts and pants as well......also no tennis shoes are allowed by preps only rainbows, birkenstocks or sperry boat shoes.....only the best and msot expensive clothes and yes they usually tend to hae teh best manners....
