Blue Eagle

1. (N) The "Blue Eagle" is a rather hideous facial expression that is used to express disgust, disdain, disappointment or any other general feeling of repudiation or angst. This facial expression was popularized by the Muppet Show character Sam, who is by no coincidence, a blue eagle. Extremely versatile and easy to use in just about any situation, the Blue Eagle is undoubtedly a look you do not want to receive. Often, those who see/receive the Blue Eagle also experience feelings of guilt and chastisement.

2. (V) The act of using this facial expression as a means of expressing disapproval for one's actions or behavior. Often used to describe a situation in which the blue eagle was used and for what purpose.

Bald Eagles

A term derived from the Goodyear Eagle brand of that refers to bald and unsafe tires on a vehicle that can potentially cause hydroplaning, terminal understeer and blowouts.

Tax refund time, better get those bald eagles replaced on my car.

Hell yea she had a blowout!!! Ridin on bald eagles because she spent all her money on that damn iPhone.

Noun. A public rebuke by the Pope or a bishop of a disobedient churchman or group, sometimes, but not always involving an excommunication. The act is primarily medicinal, in that it seeks to bring about the return of the errant party to orthodoxy, rather than simply to shun them.

The pope's public rebuke of the illicit and schismatic consecrations constituted an ecclesiastical spanking.

The bishop issued an ecclesiastical spanking by condemning the heterodox ideology espoused by the members of the parish.
