Dire Straits

The most useful way to divide the body of music created by man, is into Dire Straits, and non-Dire Straits.

Once you've learned to appreciate the subtely and refinement of Knopfler and company, every other artist pales in comparsion.

Eric Clapton has admitted an inferiority complex because of Knopfler's majestic guitar stylings.

Not double dipping! When a chip (or other dippable food) is dipped, bitten, and then turned over so that the tainted, bitten, and saliva covered part isn't able to corrupt the dip.

Brick Exit Strategy

The process whereby a traditional “Brick & Mortar” retailer begins the transition to a predominantly Internet based business model. Often brought about due to the escalating costs of maintaining a dedicated physical presence as declining economic conditions force geo-based retailers into competing dollar for dollar with their virtual world ecommerce competition.
"A Brick Exit Strategy not only cuts costs, it gives us a chance to expand beyond this local market."

super strat

A Super Strat is a guitar based on the Fender Stratocaster or strat for short, but which has extra features, usually in order to update the original design (which is obviously limited due the strat's 1954 introduction). Such updates as Double-Locking Floyd Rose tremolos, Humbucking Pickups, and different body woods are used to improve the playability, looks, and sound of the classic stratocaster design.

STRAC

US Army slang commonly used during the Vietnam War; it probably originated during World War II and stands for STRictly ACcording (to regulations). It was an epithet applied to officers and NCOs who 'go by the book' and seem totally unable to think for themselves. It describes the military equivalent of a Jobsworth, frequently linked with REMF.
