A word used to describe anyone who listens to "alternative" music. It is also yet another way people have come up with to further segregate people in society. They often see themselves as being superior to “Chavs” in every possible way and are seen by “Chavs” the same way, both of course are wrong. They can be just as rude and obnoxious as everyone else but a lot as shown by pervious definitions show a lot have a hard time coming to terms with this.

A much more friendly group of guys/gals than chavs
Named after the thereoy supposedly matching their psycological makeup...
G = Genuine
R = Respectful (apart from after being thrown out of a town centre for nothing..
E = Educated (although theyre not all nerds)
B = Befriending
Grebs enjoy a highly comunistical society all are equals, if any one person is considered better than most, this will have been gained by friendlyness or individuality rather than random muggings. Most grebs will stay with a sexual partner for years, seeing the bond of friendship to be more than just the sex. (whilst a chav would probably last a week at the most)
In some circumstances grebs must fight back and often win, especially if at school. A chav might pick a fight, the greb would throw a few punches in defence, chav ends up on floor, and due to their favouritism amongst teachers they are normally believed and therefore dont get into trouble whilst the chav would.
In greb circles it is cool to express yourself, it is uncommon for a group of grebs to have not formed a band at some point. Most have excellent art or design skills, but would rather spend time making random videos including their friends or hanging out at some concert or gig.

a bunch of people who think of themselves as unique individuals and are oblivious to the fact they all look about the same. they also think they are into alternative music but have very little knowledge about REAL alternative music.

A group of people who think they're original and yet look the same as every other greb for the past 20 years. They're insistent they dont like "labelling" and yet theyre the most bitchy against anyone who doesnt act/look the way that they do.
They wear t-shirts/hoodies adverstising their favourite bands, and seem to think theyre making some kind of statement by wearing the clothes they wear, when actually noone cares.
They tend to congragate in large groups in shopping centres. You'll recognise them because they have stripy socks on their arms.
They think they're cool now, but dont worry, you rarely see grebs over the age of 20, so most of them will grow out of it, and realise originality comes from within.
However, if you get "into their group", they do tend to be kind, sensitive and intelligent.

A youth sub-culture that is a little bit shit, really.
And in all honestly, around 50-60% do generally have very greasy hair and grotesque faces.
To conclude, the people that join this sub-culture are almost exclusively either children that were bullied and could only find a friend in the fellow bullied, or ugly girls that can only have sexual intercourse with a bullied child.
