A person who is over-zealous in his receiving of accolades that are being awarded to a team or group of people.

Today at work our boss complimented the team on a great job, and that Sally went out of here way to let everyone know that she was the person who coordinated the meetings. She is such a glory hog.

Glory Pints (GPs) - A term used to indicate the consumption of ale when conditions are perfect to enjoy a few glasses of beer, larger or stout ... Often used in Northern Ireland around times of celebtation.

James - "Hey Dave, have you caught up with Deano yet? He's sitting over there by the bar..."

Dave - "Yea, I've just been chatting to him, he's pretty wrecked! - and it's not even 10pm yet!"

James - "Well what do you expect dude! The guy has just booked another round the world trip! He's had 7 Glory Pints already..."

Dave - "Are you shitting me!? He never told me...! Let's go have a drink with him to celebrate!

James - "Fuckin - A!"

Dave (to bartender) - "Barkeep! 3 Glory Pints right away!"

glory seeker

Somebody who especially in football favours a team only because they are successful to become part of his glory. Not much liked by real football supporters who stand to their team even in bad times.

Guy 1: Hey haven´t you supported Chelsea last year?

Me: Yeah but now I like Man Utd, ´cause they play great and won Championsleague again.

Guy 2: Man, you´re a just a glory seeker!

Me: Jep, life´s too short to feel for losers.

To be Glory Bagged is to unwillingly be placed into a glory bag and passed around.

He's bought a Glory bag for the boys, and it's full.

I got Glory Bagged the other day, there must have been at least 6 of them.

an event that usually occurs in the celebrity section of Twitter...where one celebrity will make a seemingly ordinary observation or comment on a particular subject, causing hundreds (sometimes thousands) of other celebrities to gather around the original celebrity to give self-indulgent, congratulatory or brilliance to them, making them the BRIGHTEST star in their corner of the universe for the moment...

Elizabeth Banks' observation that Venom looked like he was "eating a dick" in a publicity still triggered a massive GLORY JERK on Twitter as thousands of fellow celebrities came out to call her a "comic genius" and "the sharpest mind in the world".

glory hunter

1. Someone who supports the most successful clubs at the time
2. Has little knowledge of the club's true history, and has never been to a game
3. Overuses phrases and mottoes (ie: YNWA)
4. Right now, they are Manchester united, Barcelona, and AC Milan fans who mainly live in the US.
5. Someone who will switch from one team to the next once they start losing
6. Someone who gets deeply involved in petty internet fights (ronaldo vs. messi, soccer vs football, etc.)
7. Someone who tries to justify when their team did not do well, even though they probably haven't even heard of them at the time (ie: Franco helped Real Madrid)
8. Gloaters
9. Most of them support every single team who's top in the table of their respective leagues at once

Barcelona fans who rant about how much messi is better than ronaldo (BOTH AMAZING PLAYERS), not need to get all fired up. Most americans support Barcelona, as well as AC milan and manchester united....glory hunters just want to gloat
