dentist appointment

The excuse for escaping an awkward social moment, boring party, bad day at work, or any other situation you'd rather not be a part of. The intent is to express disdain for the situation - saying you have a dentist appointment when you clearly don't (because it's nighttime, or the weekend, or whatever) amplifies the effect and sarcasm. Synonymous with "this sucks, and I'm leaving".

Used in speech, the dentist appointment can either be how you explain your departure from your current environment, or what you say to someone while giving a recap of the situation and why you left.

Jill: "Hey Matt! Leaving already?"
Matt: "Yeah. Dentist appointment."
Jill: "...but it's 8 p.m. on a Sunday."

"I was trying to watch the movie, but then Sue and Mike started making out, so I had a dentist appointment."

appomattox is the most whack town out there - the school system is messed up, the average field trip is to the surrender grounds, most of the schools have asbestos in them and you’ve got fuckboys, girls that won’t stop sucking dick, meatheads that play football, jerks that play baseball and think their better than everybody, softball players with big egos, volleyball players with fake butts, boys in soccer think their going to win every game, girls soccer players can’t stop sucking the boys soccer teams dicks, the swim team is just weird, tennis? we don’t have a team for that, teachers that don’t care about there job or teachers that care to much and there the yeeyee’s with trucks that don’t have a lift on the back, then the black people that get arrested walking to school, the preppy rich white kids that throw their families money in your face, the “basic” white girls group, the actual smart kids, the white kids that try to act black, the future school shooters and that about sums up appomattox right there
