Sliding the chute 

Quitting a job in dramatic fashion.

Etymology: Phrase derived from the actions of Steven Slater, a JetBlue airlines employee who, after being abused verbally and physically by a passenger while the plane was on the ground, used the plane's intercom system to curse out the passenger. Then he grabbed a beer from the beverage cart and deployed an emergency escape slide to jump from the plane.
This job sucks so bad that one of these days I'm sliding the chute. It'll be epic, dude!

To smoke marijuana out of a bong slide due to the lack of other available smoking apparati
James: "Dude let's get stoned. Give me the bong or some papers."

Cole: "Bong's broken and no papers to be found, bro."

The term a sliding doors moment became a term popularised in the late 20th-century meaning seemingly inconsequential moments that nonetheless alter the trajectory of future
