If a clique is involved, the poser may adapt the steriotype style of the clique. Posers are widely disliked throughout... everywhere.

Get the Poser mug.An intravert seen as an extrovert is posing as an extrovert. Allowing people to see you as or representing yourself as an extrovert when you're not an extrovert is posing rather than being yourself.
There are a lot of characters on tv shows people think of as extroverted people in real life. The same goes for the news and different forms of media, the internet, music. A poser is somebody you think is a certain way naturally based on what you'be seen and heard through a media source.
