Greater Adria was an 8th lost continent that is currently under Europe. before it was between Africa and America. how did it end up there? tectonic shifts forced the continent into Earth's mantle deep beneath Europe.The continent formed by rifting from the north Africa portion of the supercontinent of Gondwanaland 240 million years ago. It broke free into the Neo-Tethys Ocean and headed towards Laurasia. About 200 million years ago, the microcontinent of Iberia separated from the bulk of Greater Adria.

Like Zealandia the 9th continent it got pushed under the earth by tectonic shift. but Greater Adria got under the earth after new Zealandia
