n. Better known as a "flash drive," "jump drive," or "thumb drive," a geek whistle is small nonvolatile data storage medium (usually 128 MB - 2 GB) that is often found dangling from the necks of geeks on a lanyard. It's the geek equivalent of a coach's whistle.

Band Geek

A person who is in band and affiliates with band. Spends most of their time in the band room doing scales sheets, practicing their instrument/music, doing nothing at all, or better yet... To piss off the band director. Often talks about band related things, mostly awesome composers and pieces ever made. Can be random at times, talking about CSI, Les Mis (Best Musical Ever Made!), House, DCI, etc. Also loves to make videos of themselves or other band geeks. These videos are often recorded at band fundraisers, the band room, football games, or around school campus. If things in the band room get boring, a band geek tends to mess around with the band director's van or car. Band geeks can be some of the the coolest people you'll ever meet.

John: Hey Tom! How was Band Camp?


Tom: It was like Band Geek Heaven!

A person of high intelligence who typically does not fit into popular social groups. Geeks tend to make friends with other social outcasts with similar hobbies and/or interests.

That geek is pretty smart, but he always gets teased by the preppies and jocks.

Musical Geek

Somebody that is completely obsessed with Musicals and lives only for them. Listen to their iPod and it will be completely filled with 'Billy Elliot' , 'Wicked' or 'Les Misérables'.

Mention anything to do with Musicals and they will burst in to song and then continue to sing a medley of all of their favourite songs from their favourite West End Shows.

A typical Musical Geek would say:

Geek 1 : 'Oh my goodness, guess which Wicked song came on earlier?'

Geek 2 : 'I'm limited. Just look at me - I'm limited?'

Geek 1 : 'And just look at you, you can do all that I couldn't do, Glinda'

*Excited squeals*

Loser Geek Brokie

A Loser Geek Brokie, or an LGB, is a person that is dumb, stupid, poor, and a background character. They are worthless and always get made fun of for good reasons. They amount to nothing in life, and are bad at it. They are lazy and hated. They don't progress in anything at all, and blame all of their problems on other things because they're stupid.

Geek

One who passionately engages in one or more things to extreme levels. A commonly ascribed term to people in the field of computer programming, but one does not have to be in a technical field to be a geek. The only criteria is an intense level of interest in something, often to a highly specialized degree.

The term currently seems to be most used when referring to various fandoms. Whatever you do, never mention the Endor Holocaust to a group of Star Wars geeks. It will become amazingly convoluted.

I just finished creating a full-sized exact replica of the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo, complete with seat indentations based on the estimated weight of each member of Mystery Inc. I'm such a geek!
