King of Amazon may have had eyes on the wings and astronaut title but he didn't meet the requirements in time. The Federal Aviation Administration chose that same day to update the requirements to join the ranks of astronaut. It was the first major change to the rules since 2004. Turns out Jeff didn't get his wings or title due to not meeting one requirement. He only got a $5.5 billion honorary title and only 4 minutes in space. Gee, that was fast. Just one day before and he would have qualified. Well played FAA. Savage af.
