A final party to celebrate moving out of a place.

Opposite of "House Warming Party".

Instead of guests bringing gifts for your new home, they can be given things you want to get rid of.

We're moving out of our place next month, so please come to our house cooling party this weekend. Be prepared to bid on some great things.

A cooling board is a board used to present a dead body. In winter months it would be impossible to bury the dead, so the body is wrapped and propped in a barn until the ground thaws out.
