Get the Correct adjacent mug.A term originating in the Black community as a response to the popularization of the term "person of color" (POC).
Refers to any person that is at least part Asian, Native American, Latinx, or another demographic that is simultaneously non-Black and non-white. The only people who are not white adjacent are white people and Black people. The point of the term is to separate Black people, who are people of color (POC), from ethnicities and races that are not technically white but still fully benefit from white privilege.
Remember, there is no such thing as a light skinned person of color.
