A fanny nanny is someone who carries around a fanny pack. The "nanny" part refers to when for instance a group goes on a rollercoaster and needs a place to put their phones they ask the friend with the fanny pack to carry their phones.

Elena: Hey, Victoria could I put my phone in your fanny pack during the ride?
Adrian: Yeah me too!

The term was used to refer to a black female maid who not only cared for things around the house but was responsible for raising the children of the white family she worked for

A term derived from the old south after slavery, but during the time when it was still common for white people to have many black people working for them in lower end jobs. The term was not usually meant in a demeaning way either. Most families were quite attached to their "nigger nanny"
