80's mentality

Of or pertaining to extreme dominance. This type of mentality describes that which was commonly seen during the 1980's. Competition, wealth, and power were of extremely high importance during the decade so it was both expected and common for an individual to go above and beyond on a consistent basis.

"William Wallace had an 80's mentality during the Battle of Stirling." -A reference to the scene in Braveheart when William Wallace soundly defeated the English.

mental plinko

Mental Plinko is used to define the path taken by a thought through your mind from one topic to another, seemingly unrelated, topic.

"Sorry I just spaced out there for a second. When you mentioned your car troubles I had a bit of a mental plinko. First I thought of cars, then I thought of those little air fresheners that hang on the mirror, that led me to thinking about smells in general, and then I remembered that horrible fart you ripped off in the cafe the other day."

mental chuckle

a.k.a. mc --> not to be confused with master of ceremonies means mental chuckle. it is usually used when something funny is said or read by a person, but this tidbit of information does not make them laugh out loud or 'lol' as the kids say. the new information only makes them laugh in their mind. hence the name 'mental chuckle'

My friend, Rick, told me about how he saw a panda fall out of the tree after it farted. I didn't think it was funny enough to laugh out loud, but I did catch myself experiencing a mental chuckle.
