I found this reference to "bust a cap" in a 1951 Gene Autry novel. Gene Autry and the Golden Ladder Gang by W. H. Hutchinson. Whitman 2349

Caps locker is someone who writes everything using upper case. Usually they're dumb, misspell a lotta words and can't make a right sentence 'cause they can't speak English very well.

A saying or reply to a question created by Fallout game fans when something is noted to be amazing or not so amazing. This saying has many user-defined definitions. Also can be shortened as "are max" or "max caps". Caps are not to be confused with the term Cap or Capping as though one is lying.

In game players can max out on a currency called caps (bottle caps)

Yo bro how was the party last night?
