"Deeto" or "Deeting" is inspired by the Pokemon Ditto, who has the ability to take form of another pokemon. This term refers to people who pretend to be in a similar profession or field of expertise so that they can either add value to their argument or win an argument. Used mostly online where the true nature/background of a person is hidden.
