(phrase)- When two or more radio stations are playing the same song simultaneously.

This phrase is intended to express surprise, disbelief and/or annoyance upon discovering said event, usually because changing radio stations was initiated in an effort to avoid listening to the song currently being aired.

A nerdier version of the slang deja tune, as it also references a glitch in the matrix, highlighting both the rarity of the event, the sense of deja vu when it occurs, and the strong feeling that someone, somewhere out there is fucking with you.

Person 1 - (turns on radio) "Man, I hate this song, what else is on?"
(Changes radio stations)
"Oh c'mon! It's on this station, too..... stupid glitch in the radio matrix."

Person 2 - "At least on the last station the song was almost over."

tourettestrial radio 

a far more accurate description of terrestrial radio stations that truly believe they are remaining relevant by playing the same old songs over and over and over again.

Tourettestrial radio stations have repeated their short list of songs for so many decades that it's almost like an uncontrollable tic disorder. Most people now have a difficult time tolerating it but accept that their contribution to society is to the best of their abilities.

National Peoplesrepublic Radio 

The primary radio source of liberal propaganda in the United States.

Unlike its commercial imitator, Air America, National Peoplesrepublic Radio (NPR, alias "National Public Radio") knows there isn't enough demand for its services to make it commerically viable (the extreme left being a tiny minority in the United States). Therefore, it will continue to function on donations, government subsidies, and grants from large corporations. Many of these corporations are involved in industries which the audience detests, proving Lenin's point about capitalists selling the ropes which will be used in their hangings.

At least National Peoplesrepublic Radio has decent music programming, which is more than I can say for Air America. You also can bet on being within range of a National Peoplesrepublic Radio station, too.

Hi;

For real - this saying came out at the advent of television. All the radio stars were flippin 'cause they knew they weren't going to be able to make the switch to TV, 'cause they has a "face for radio". Which is why they are largely forgotten.

Jack Benny was pretty good looking and made it to TV, but Fred Allen had a "face for radio", and never really made it. Did you know Fred was the Howard Stern of his day? He too was pulled from the air a few times.

FM radio struck

FM radio struck occurs when every song you hear on the radio while driving home from night class reminds you of a special someone. All lyrics from different songs somehow manage to make you miss this person and their love, think of this person, wish that person was there with you and feel a sharp ache in your chest cavity. Whilst experiencing this condition blurred vision, attention diversion, heat exhaustion, and cardiac abnormalities may occur. It effects roughly 29% of the world population. Further research needs to be done to investigate the origins of this condition.

Ex 1 Traffic lights are red
- Missed change in traffic light while in deep thought about special someone. Exemplary symptoms included hearing loss to surround sounds, vision loss, altered states of consciousness. Finally snaps out of it when the Donkey behind hoots his horn

Ex 2. Driving along road
- attention is diverted because you are so into the lyrics of the song you forget everything else and your thoughts, consciousness and awareness are all consumed by the thoughts of that special person. you experience swerving into the other lane and almost hitting another car.
