Fall Out Boy is an American pop-punk band formed in Chicago in 2001. The band consists of bassist Pete Wentz, drummer Andy Hurley, lead guitarist and vocalist Patrick Stump, and guitarist Joe Trohman. In their early years, the band released four albums: 'Take This To Your Grave', 'From Under The Cork Tree', 'Infinity On High' and 'Folie à Deux'. They went on a hiatus in 2010, and came back in 2012 . They then released their two most recent albums, 'Save Rock and Roll' and 'American Beauty/American Psycho'.
Singer and guitarist Patrick Stump produced a solo album during the hiatus, called 'Soul Punk', which he wrote and produced entirely by himself. He also played all the instruments.
A few months after the release of 'American Beauty/American Psycho', Fall Out Boy announced they would remix the entire album. This album, called 'Make America Psycho Again', was released very recently. The band worked with a lot of rappers on this remix album, e.g. Azealia Banks, Whiz Kalifa and Juicy J. They have coöperated with rappers before (Big Sean has a part in 'The Mighty Fall', a song on the 'Save Rock and Roll' album).

A realy really awsome band with deep lyrics, even though u have to be a true fan to understand them. I didn't really know fall out boy before mtv like some ppl say cuz I don't live in chicago,and they r based there. They are kinda punk\pop\rok, but it doesn't rrly matter wat u label them because they are awsome!!!!!!

Get the fall out boy mug.A band loved by some, not loved by most. Consists of members from Wilmette, Glenview, and maybe other Chicago suburbs. They are judged by everyone much too soon. Pete Wentz (bassist/lyricist) is married to Ashlee Simpson, and they recently had a child. What a fucked up life that kid's going to have. Some may say they are underrated, most would say they're overrated. But, from all of us diehards, at least give something a chance before you come on urbandictionary and bash it. It just makes you sound dumb when they only "bad lyrics" you have is from Sugar, We're Going Down. I'll tell you some bad lyrics by Fall Out Boy, "Good God, I wish I was tall." Even though I love that song.
