First Date Fallacy

The fact that when on a first date, a girl is less likely to sleep with someone she really likes and wants to see again and is more likely to sleep with someone who she never wants to date again. This can due to the belief that all her partner is looking for is sex, and once that is achieved he will move on. This can also be due to a woman having sexual drives but no one she is romantically interested in around, so she goes for an easy, convenient target.

"I held out on having sex with the sexy fireman after he took me on the best date ever because I really liked him and wanted to make sure we'd go out again - but I did sleep with my douche bag neighbor after a couple drinks because I realized I didn't care if we had another date. That's the first date fallacy for you."

When being a fuck buddy isn't accurate because you go on dinners and dates and stuff.

Elaine: We aren't really fuckbuddies because we go on dates and stuff. Date buddies?

Logan: Date buddies is a good concept tho.

Elaine: I actually really like it.

Logan: I enjoy nice dinners and dates n stuff. The things you wanna do but can’t really do with the boys y'know?
Elaine: Low key wishing it was a thing.

Power date

With everyone lacking time for anything outside of work resembling an actual social life many take what’s called a powerdate. Not unsimilar to a power nap the power date takes a traditional date and compounds into one short sweet but unfulfilling chance to get to minimally spend time with someone.

hey Jess what are you doing for lunch? I’m not taking a lunch I have a brief I have to get through and fit in a ten minute power date with Paul before my scheduled panic attack at 1.

Movie Date

A concept designed to connect those who are in relationships at a distance. This usually consist of calling each other to start the movie at the exact same time, making sure every word in the movie is synonymous, and staying on the phone for the full length of the movie in order to get the experience as if your loved one was right beside you.

B and J may have watched "Imagine Me & You" over the phone for their first movie date. Or "Would you like to watch 'Feast of Love' on a movie date?"
