The act of being booved is receiving an image, video, or gif of a deep fried boov (deep fried meaning that the saturation and grain are turned up very high). Boov are the alien race featured in the 2015 blockbuster “Home”. The premise of booving is similar to that of Rick rolling- the goal is to catch someone off guard with the image.

You just got booved! This is what you would say to someone after they have been sent a deep fried image of a boov from the Dreamworks film “Home”
