SLOP = SLack Object Permanence. This is the concept where in any large chat tool like Slack, you are inundated with so much information on an hourly basis, you forget where you saw a specific topic posted or, in some cases, that the topic was even mentioned.
The concept of "Object Permanence" can be seen in infants where when they see something, in their brain, it now exists. However, when the object is hidden from view, the object ceases to exist.
So, after you read a post in Slack or Teams or whatever, it becomes SLOP. It no longer exists.

Noun: A generic, bloated, or uninspired crossover or SUV that lacks uniqueness, character, or real purpose. Not all SUVs are crossover-slop, larger vehicles or three-row SUVs designed for practical use are generally considered exceptions.
Chevrolet has stopped selling sedans and hatchbacks, and keeps pumping out crossover-slop.
There is barely any benefit to buying crossover-slop over a hatchback.

Common sources of slop include content generated via artificial intellegence, content farmers, corporations, news sites, notable figures, and other bountiful sources of cringe or brainrot.
