SideYak

An app that pretends to be Yik Yak, but is actually a shell of its former self, and everyone hates it. It's "Yik Yak" bought out by competitor SideChat. Nobody used their app because it sucks. So they had to pull a bait and switch and completely replace the app with SideChat. Then they made every iOS user update "Yik Yak" to replace it with Sidechat, like a hostage situation. Worst of all, they removed Android support and made the app require a .edu email address.

Tyler: Hey man you see that post on Yik Yak?
Brooks: Na bro, I deleted that bullshit. That's not Yik Yak, Yik Yak is dead. That's SideYak. Fuck SideYak.
Tyler: You're right. RIP Yik Yak.

it comes from the silence of a dead fish. it may be silent, but there's something about a dead fish that's pretty fucking funny.

Man Silence

Man silence is what we call a pause amongst men. It’s not awkward. It’s a mutual agreement among men that sitting in silence with each other is not only acceptable, but encouraged. The silence is usually broken by someone oblivious to the Man Silence happening around them. Only once all men in the group recognize the silence together by giving each other slow nods of approval can the Man Silence be officially broken by one man stating “Man Silence”. Conversation then resumes as normal.

The group sat in Man Silence after returning from a long, exhausting fitness swimming class.

After a prolonged discussion on the weather, they sat in Man Silence until their wives returned from the shoe store.
