Trusting

Spending time with somebody to see whether you can trust them is not the same as trusting them.

The girl told people that her and the guy had trusted each other in the past, which was bullshit. They had spent time together, but the guy never started trusting her. Many people spend time around people they don't trust all the time.

Trust

Something lost by a politician or prime minister upon offering beautiful and high sounding promises to a nation and then taking that nation to unnecessary and barbaric war.

It is lost not only by the individual, but by all individuals in that society.

And the greater the trust, the greater the loss.

Tubstitutionalized

When the dog won't come out of the tub, or runs to it whenever she's afraid or uncomfortable. Situations such as, but not limited to, rain, thunderstorms, high winds, unexpected loud noises, construction, garbage/recycling trucks, doors of port-a-pots closing sharply.

My dog hasn't come out of the tub for more than food or drink in days because it's raining, she must be tubstitutionalized.
