Anime is usually the Japanese form of art and animation when coming to Tv shows and movies. Its well drawn, alot of the time impressive and is usually based along the lines of fantasy. Its nice to watch ocasionally and is fairly interesting.

However I for one, hate the crap, well, most of it. Due to the fact that most anime fans are over-excessive with the anime that they watch. Also, MOST anime-fans tend to insult and ridicule other animation companies like Dreamworks and Disney, often for the sheer reason that they are rude and think everything should be anime. I find it offensive that they do so as I love Disney and so I chose not to watch alot of anime.

Individuals who have either never seen decent anime, or who are simply conceited and refuse to believe that the American version of televised entertainment is so pathetic it's actually embarrassing. Serial Experiments Lain was so good it was actually required course material at MIT for several classes concerning technology and modern society.

3. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GiG.
4. Ghost in the Shell: Innocence as well as Solid State Society (movies).
5. Haibane Renmei.

stare-in-the-sun anime

A boring type of anime where it seems that the characters frequently literally sit on a hill, a balcony, or valley and stare into the sun and not talk while sitting next to each other. Can also generally describe any boring anime.

Macross Frontier and Seirei No Moribito are stare-in-the-sun animes.

I style of animation EXTREMELY popular in America. Anime comic books are known as "manga". I personally don't know WHAT THE HELL is so freaking INCREDIBLE about anime that makes it appears on every single freaking website you go to, let alone anything related to Japan, in case you don't notice, but anime is unquestionably popular among Americans.

"Toonami" was a bump on the Cartoon Network that mainly the anime portion of the network.

A term used to describe someone who is addicted or obsessed with Japanese Animation, or Anime. A person with Animeatosis will often associate everything with Anime and will always watch or use Anime.

The word 'anime' is based on the original japanese pronunciation of the american word 'animation.'

The stereotype of the anime style are characters with proportionally large eyes and hair styles and colors that are very colorful and exotic. The plots range from very immature (kiddy stuff), through teenage level, to mature (violence, content, thick plot). The classification of 'hentai' is given to animes of a stong sexual nature.

Although over 95% of anime has nothing perverted about it, most closed-minded idiots think anime is always a form of pronography.

Although most people stop watching 'cartoons' in their early teens, there are 'animes' for all age groups.
