The 2020 Effect

The instinctual feeling that it is still 2020. Shared by many members of Gen Z, who feel like past events are closer than they actually are; as if it is still 2020. Probably spurred by the pandemic and isolation, but nobody really knows where it comes from.

Most years have a satisfying ending, where after Christmas and New Years you get to reset and to on to the next year. However, COVID didn't care about the holiday season, and the defining characteristic of 2020 was carried on into the following year. In a way, it felt like 2020 never really ended.
"RIP my man Harambe"
"Dude, that meme is like 4 years old."
"I think you mean almost 8 years old."
"wait..."
"that's the 2020 effect"

The Angel Effect

The angel effect manifest itself in particular social situations, mostly during a discussion or an argument in which multiple people are involved. Imagine you're having a heated discussion with a person (they're insulting you or something) and a friend steps in to defend your side. You, instead of thanking your friend, start to insult him back for no apparent reason. This is the angel effect.
Person 1: Yo bro how much cream have you used in this pasta, it's awful.
Friend: Nah, it's nice I enjoyed it
You (referring to the friend): shut up!! You can't even cook.
Person 1: Guys I just witnessed the angel effect

The origin of "time traveler moves a chair" meme
Theory of "every little things are slowly changing the world"
The name of this word comes from the saying "A butterfly could cause a hurricane"
However, this is just a myth. But a single butterfly could change the timing/location of the hurricane.
