A word like nigger justified blacks being treated like animal. Since the end of slavery blacks are still dealing with whites using the word to undermine their value as human beings. The word justified raping of slaves from babies to black men. Blacks were considered to basically have no brain consciousness . In current day the descendents of slavery us nigga now not nigger. Ebonics played a part in why the -a insted of -er. Therefore 2 different meanings now. They used the word do to internalized racism in the community. In a way to somehow fight the racism by trying to make the word light heart amongst themselves.
