Something that is cool or impressive. Often used in a context of surprise in regards to news or information.

May be used in the context of sporting, similar to "that's clutch."
Tom: Did you hear that Karen got married?

Joe: That's skate, bro.

Keanu: Brah, have you seen the movie "Point Break?"

Swayze: That was pretty skate...

That's a shame 

Used to express superficial and sarcastic sympathy for somebody's misfortune when said in a very nonchalant tone. Made famous by Jerry Seinfeld.
Friend: "I really want that suit but I can't afford it"

You: "That's a shame"

That's How I feed my Eel. 

A simple justification to why you do something odd or random.
"Roman, why do you like snapping your neighbors' necks?"
"Well, Brittney, That's How I feed my Eel."

that one friend 

The one friend who someone goes to when they have no one else to hang out with or talk to. So basically their last choice

Used when talking about a really bad idea or something that seems very hard to do
"Let's write an Octave function with many for loops"
"Dude! That's like hiking without high heels!"

said when someone gets roasted.
guy 1: guy 2 you a big poopoo head.
guy 3: THAT'S A LOT OF DAMAGE.
guy 2: :(
