The state of mind in which a apple / mac (which ever the person choses to be name) realizes their computer and accessories are over priced, easily broken, un-customizable, built for the lowest common denominator, requires special programs to run, do not communicate well with other company's products, expensive to fix and from a company who's sales people are called "genius'"

Occurs when you support an athletic team(s)that does poorly or at best marginal and then you wish you had supported the same team as someone else who you perceive to have made a superior team selection. This often results in name calling and accusatory, derogative language by the person who selected the less successful team.

The desire and hope among a number of developing countries that their own students could do well in math, if they were to adopt a math curriculum similar to the one used in Singapore.
A few local publishers are laughing all the way to the bank, as the result of the Singapore math envy of some African countries, which have started importing Singapore math books for their schools.

By contrast this is a day more for celebration of being single. Those celebrating Singles Envy Day are free from having to get a gift, going to dinner at a restaurant they don't like or any of the other myriad "have to" Valentines Day activities. Also a more joyous event that Singles Awareness Day since you do not feel sorry for being single and think of yourself as a loser.
