Being with one's friends and having nothing to worry about except friendship. The best palling out is done sober. If a person that no one likes tries to pal out then it is no longer palling out.

Lucking Out

When you quit a job, task, or team abruptly because you are just mentally checked out and unable to deal with it another moment longer. Typically out of nowhere and with little to no notice.

In reference to Andrew Luck retiring abruptly from the NFL at the age of 29.
