Kiss ass

Someone who tries too hard to impress someone. Most likely a student to a teacher or an employee to a boss. They try to make themselves noticed, and the person on the receiving end usually tries to respond in a polite way. Everyone else think’s that the kiss ass is a little bitch and an attention whore. Most of the time they are socially inept. They think they are better than everyone.

Kate: “Um, Ms. Teacher, I finished all of my work a month early! What do I do now?”
Teacher, trying to be nice: “Oh wow Kate, how impressive? Uhh... why don’t you go over there and read?”
Kate: “Of course my favorite teacher in the whole-wide-world!”
Everyone else: “what a kiss ass”
