Commonwealth English

Commonwealth English is a collective term for the perceived standard English language used in the Commonwealth of Nations1 and many Former British Nations where English is at least a common second language. Thus it applys in theory to Australian English, British English, Caribbean English, Canadian English, Hiberno-English (Irish English)2, Hong Kong English3, Indian English (includes Pakistani English), formal Malaysian English, New Zealand English, formal Singapore English (but not colloquial Singlish) and South African English.

Coconuts

Usually found in tropical places, unless they migrate or are carried by a sparrow. They can be cut in half and banged together to mimic a horse in case you don't have the budget for a real one.

I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts (do del le do) There they are standing in the road. Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head. You give 'em a twist, a flick of the wrist is what the showman said.

Common Virgin

1. A person who is nerdy and awkward, especially around the female type. They usually are addicted to video games, Lord of The Rings, Star Wards, Magic: The Gathering and other assorted nerdy things. A common virgin is a step beyond being a nerd, it is a lifestyle. Also a common virgin will not have had sex, and will never.

As the Common Virgins played Magic: The Gathering at lunch, one stood and shouted "LIGHTNING HELIX, CRAIG JONES WINS!@!@!@!@!". He then proceeded to squeal uncontrollably.

common law fiance

When a couple has been "dating" for such a long time that they are on an inevitable path to marriage, the participants in the relationship become common law fiancés, even if no formal commitment to get married has been made. Often, the involved parties deny this de facto status, frequently out of fear of commitment or embarrassment over not taking their relationship to the next level. However, they usually conduct themselves like a typical engaged couple (e.g., sharing holidays with both sets of families, etc.)

Aaron: hey, is your fiance coming to dinner with us?
Mike: no, my girlfriend cannot make dinner tonight
Aaron: she is so your common law fiance...you guys have been together for more than 6 years!
