It utilizes three internal weapon bays: a large main bay on the fuselage, and two smaller bays on either side of the fuselage; the main bay can accommodate six AIM-120 AMRAAMs and both smaller bays can accommodate one AIM-9 Sidewinder. This results in a standard load-out of six AIM-120s and two AIM-9s, in addition to an internally mounted M61A2 Vulcan 20mm cannon.
