Even today, Pokemon has not entirely fallen away (partially due to the valiant efforts of Cartoon Network to play Pokemon movies over and over again on Fridays).

Pokémon BDSP

Pokémon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of the absolute masterpieces Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. Normally Pokémon games are easy as fuck and in these remakes they're not as hard as the originals but Cynthia still fucks you in the ass before you give up and break your nintendo switch. Caused a lot of arguments if it's a Pokémon Platinum remake or a Diamond and Pearl remake.

Person 1: Hey are you enjoying Pokémon BDSP, the new Diamond and Pearl remakes?
Person 2: Actually, it's better described as a Platinum remake!
Person 1: I really don't give a fuck.

Person: Pokémon games are too easy!
