Some Relationship

The term "some" (also known as the 'hook-up culture' in the western world) has become a popular lingo used in both the K-Pop and K-Drama scenes.

Here is a very basic understanding of being in a "some"-relationship: you have confirmed your feelings for one another but you are not officially in a relationship. You might be going through the motions of having a boyfriend/girlfriend, but you stay away from putting on labels between you and your "some"-partner.

You feel some-type-of-way for your partner but nothing too real to make it a committed relationship, yet.

Person 1: Were Shiwon and Yoonjae dating?
Person 2: No, they were in a some relationship.

some nerve

"some nerve" is used to describe people that have a lot of balls, guts, or nuts to ask or do something. It usually is used in a negative light.

For example: A homeless house guest that has been given a lot of gifts, a truck, a house of their own, and a job has "some nerve" to ask for more.

Homeless House guest: Thanks for the truck, house, job, and new clothes.

Hostess: Your welcome, I'm glad I could assist.

Homeless House guest: Before I move out into that new house with the new car you gave me, what happened to the birthday gifts you were going to give me?

Hostess: You have some nerve asking for more things when it's clear I have given you a lot.
