I guess people from the south say this when there about to insult someone profusely. If you ask me, on the north side, we don't say roast, we say barbecue.

North sider: hey dude, I'm done, prepare for the barbecue

2. To get done over by someone.

3. To be verbally abused for doing something stupid.
