Refers to a student (usu. college undergraduate) with aspirations for Phd and/or medical degree (MD). Unlike pre-med, pre-doc does not carry the stigma attached to it.
college student 1: Hey, i noticed that your taking a lot of science classes. are you premed?
college student 2: naw, i m pre-doc!!!
