A person who puts on glasses or uses pretentious words to try and fool people into thinking that they are smart.

I had a date with this female college professor and I was afraid of looking stupid, so I put on some glasses, a cordory jacket with those elbow patches and memorized some four syllable words out of the dictionary. faking out: drunk kissing. So you're at a party and you end up kissing your best friend or just someone who's really icky. It doesn't matter, cos you weren't making out, you were faking out (can also be used for popular people and geeks)
