In reference to the departure of Jorja Fox's character on ER just leaving without any explanation. It's when a character leaves the show and just isn't mentioned again, but they had a noticably large role prior to it.

"I think they just Doyled Det. Vartann on CSI. I haven't seen him in weeks."
