Transracial

An adoption term that is commonly appropriated, stolen, and misused by transID.

Transracial refers to adoptees who are adopted by parents of a different race. For example, a Chinese adoptee to White parents.

Transracial is an adoption word, not a transID word.

Do not steal this word from adoptees, do not associate it with transID. Correct people if they use it wrong. Transracial is only correct as an adoption term and should only be used as an adoption term.

Adoptee: I am a transracial adoptee.
Parent: I have a transracially adopted child.
