A TANGIE is a Scottish legend of a shape shifting sea spirit often found in the form of an old man covered in seaweed; perhaps also an unclean beach dweller or dwellers seen as degraded, ethereal, spiritual or inhuman entities as in The Doors lyrics - Maggie M’Gill:

“Miss Maggie M'Gill she lived on a hill

The Tanzih

A small burrowing mammal that resides in the southern hemisphere. It spends its entire life underground creating realistic sculptures of other animals out of dirt clods for company. When backed into a corner it will squirt acid from its nostrils as a form of self defense. As a result they have a terrible sense of smell.

A: The Tanzih has terribly burnt nostrils.
B: So how does it smell?
A: Terrible

Tannies

Tannies is a word used to refer to the seven members of the legendary boy band BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan. This term belongs to them and them only, anyone else using this term to refer to some other entity is invalid. Don't even try. Also, keep in mind the 's', because Tannie is often used to refer to Kim Taehyung's pomeranian and best boy Yeontan.

Tanzia

The name of a extremely beautiful Bengali girl who is just perfect. Usually called Tanz by those she's the closest to. Tanzias can be very loud and social. They being at the center of attention and love flattery. But once on the bad side of Tanzias, they are cruel and are willing to ruin the other's life if it comes down to it.

If she's as gorgeous as Tanzia I would be careful of her.

The TANNIES is a nickname used by ARMYS which was first created by members of BH staff as BANGTANNIES to refer to the members of BTS and ONLY the members of BTS, Many have tried copying this nickname but they have failed as it sounds ugly and unoriginal.

The tannies aka (bts) are so adorable to me I love them.

tankie

An apologist for dictatorial regimes with atrocious records on human rights, so long as those countries are not the US. A person who thinks that because the US is flawed, and has done bad things, that that means that countries that are or have traditionally been our adversaries (generally communist countries) are actually perfectly fine places to live, and everything bad that you hear about them is a Western lie. Someone who goes beyond just being a communist or socialist, into defending some truly awful regimes, a tankie throws out the baby with the bathwater.

John thinks Stalin was awesome, says China isn't oppressing the Uyghurs, and believes that everything bad you hear about North Korea is a lie that the American media wants you to believe. John is a tankie.
