poomph

Noun or verb describing the (usually bass) sound emitted with some force from someone's speakers, for example cars or a sound system. Poomph could also describe any perceivable pressure wave, or something being released, e.g. a stationary vehicle with engine still on, poomphing out unnecessary exhaust gases.
The neighbours are playing their music loudly again and I can hear the bassline going 'poomph poomph poomph'.
