MIR Commando

Term for a soldier who is always going to the MIR (Medical Inspection Room) in order to avoid doing something difficult e.g. morning PT, or parade.

There were so many MIR commandos that only 20 people in the platoon showed up for morning PT.

Mir layoff 

Whenever an athlete (particularly a combat sports athlete) suffers a major injury and takes a long time (1 year or more) before returning to competition. Made famous by Frank Mir who shattered his femur shortly after winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

After tearing his ACL in October 2008, Patrick Cote had a nice Mir Layoff before coming back against Alan Belcher in May 2010.

An adjective used to describe a person that constantly smokes weed and who is content with his/her state, resenting any sort of criticism from others.

Origin unknown. I first heard it in an email thread.
