Japanophile

Someone with a prominent interest in japan or japanese pop culture. Whether through music, japanese drama, anime, manga, language, art, history etc..

Being a japanophile does not make one a sociophobe or one without other interested -.-'

It can be someone who begins enjoying japanese popculture and extending themself to learning the language and more about the culture and way of life. Many even hope to live or visit the country.

Can even be one learning the japanese language for a considerable amount of time, into fluency.

a japaonfile is someone who is obbssesed with the japanese culture to the point where it becomes annoying.

One who lives off of pocky and ramen, refers to Japanese cartoons as anime, and spends more time per week trying to write a full sentence in Kanji then they do bathing.

Go to an anime convention, you'll see at least twenty of them with their hair dyed white answering to 'Inu-Yasha' while carrying large 'swords' made of cardboard and aluminum foil.

Japanocentric

Having anything and everything to do with Japan and their idosyncracies. Most commonly associated with the excessive use of over-popular anime cartoon stylization of just about everything (spiked blue hair, tiny closed mouth / massive open mouth, and almond eyes).

May also refer to the marketing techniques used in Japan which fail miserably in the United States (a la Nintendo).

1. referring to anyone who partakes in intense Japanese fanatics and everything of Japanese origin, preferably anime or manga, yet has no sort of Japanese heritage or ancestry.
2. a person who pretends to be Japanese, yet isn't.
3. a person who constantly uses Japanese words and expressions as jargon.

1. Only a japaloo would think to rape the English language with words like "kawaii".
2. "^_^" , "^-^", and "^O^" are some of the lamest japaloo expressions I have ever seen.

japanophile

If ur someone obsessed with japanese culture or anything that has to do with japan then ur a japanophile.But,it dose'nt mean that u r a looser or a reject,watch anime every day,have friends that r only japanophiles etc.U can have allot of friends and not be reject or a looser and still be a japanophile,get my point?People often tend to think that a japanophile is somekind of reject who has a room filled with anime posters and accesories and also wears anime clothes...but that's not true!!!That person should be treated like any other person the difference is that he/she has different tastes...that's all!!!
