Dogging can have one of two definitions:
It is sometimes used as a term to take a dog for a walk - whilst also being a competitive competition.

The other meaning, which most people on this site will recognise, is having sex in public, or watching two (or more) people have sex in public.

1. Honey, I’m just off to do dogging (take the dog for a walk).
Ok, don’t get lost whilst doing it!

2. Why is that couple performing dogging (sex in public)?
Keep it to the bedroom next time, weirdos!

The act of gently pressing or gliding a cigarette on to a surface so that you can keep it for re-lighting later, usually by storing it in your pocket.

“Hey, look, the bus is here.”
“Oh no, I gotta dog’ this.”
“What’d you say?”
I’m dogging this. Means I’m keeping my cig for later.”
